MISSION
A group of concerned healthcare plan designers and financing experts have created Healthcare Consensus, which is dedicated to finding solutions to America's healthcare crisis.
The immediate strategic role of Healthcare Consensus is to work with employers, trade and professional groups, unions, healthcare insurance companies, academics, government officials, medical products and services providers, manufacturers of pharmaceutical products, patients and caregivers to determine where consensus can be achieved in healthcare reform.
As areas of consensus are found, we will announce the consensus publicly and communication it to government officials.
When we realize that consensus is not possible, we will communicate that finding to the public and to government officials as well.
The medical equipment and technology segment of the United States economy is an important source of new treatments for patients. It is also a large export industry. What should its role be in healthcare reform?
Patients, as consumers, are demanding more options and an end to cost-shifting and complex paperwork.
Caregivers are stressed. Insurers are trying to respond to customer demands. Recordskeepers are having new mandates and burdens erode their profitability.
Government officials are being asked to adopt one or another "solution."
Is consensus possible?
With your help, we intend to find out.
Members of the Healthcare Consensus coalition will receive advance notice of any surveys, reports or other communications.
